Feminism VS biblical femininity..

I have so much things that i wanna blog abt!!haha..and i have alrdy uploaded my photos on the com..just that im blogging in my centre..so the photos are not with me.. =P

recently..God has been speaking to me abt biblical femininity..

last time..or prolly a few yrs back..just one eg..when a guy offered to hold the door open for me, i wld be upset..why?haha..i wld be thinking, "i can open the door myself, you dun have to open for me."and the worst thing is, i tot that make me stronger than the guys..to show them that we can survive without them..etc..a whole load of reasons to justify that women can be stronger than guys and we can be independent..and another eg..i was very used to paying my own share of food when out with guys..but when they offered to pay for the food, haha..i wld insist to paying my own share..becos i can afford to and i dun need guys to pay for my meals..haha..

then as time pass by, God changes my heart..By letting a guy holding the door open for you DOES NOT mean that his intention is to show that he is stronger than you(in fact, i think they are indeed stronger, but thats not their intention)..By letting a guy paying for your meal DOES NOT mean that you cannot afford to pay for your own..it just means that they want to be a gentlemen to the ladies, that they honour the ladies..and on our part ladies, i realised a lot of time it is due to pride that we are not able to accept the very gentlemanly acts of the guys..girls, just throw whatever reasons(how gd you think the reasons are) behind you and accept the offers and acts graciously.. =)

let me clarify what im NOT saying here..im not saying...

1)that a guy must pay for every meal for the girls.
2)that a girl can never ever give treats to guys.
3)that a girl must wait for the guys to hold the door open for her before she can walk pass the door.
4)that girls cannot hold the door open for others.

i think alot of times it is not the acts or offers itself..it is the intention that makes a difference..if a guy offers to do something for the ladies, let us respond positively and graciously..ladies, ending with a "thank you" at the end of the day wld be very appropriate.. =)

the above is just part of the lesson that i have learnt..i read an article and i tot it really sums up how i feel..

Yes, some societies live that way, and it's a shame. But that is not God's way. God has given my husband the right, and the responsibility, to lead our family. But simply because I submit to an authority — as, in fact, all of us have to do — God doesn't see me as inferior, as inadequate or unworthy. The true message of Christ is quite the opposite and it's a beautiful thing.

Now I remember that every time my husband opens my door. It's a small gesture, but it points to the larger truth."

oh yes..i know im not married and im still single..but i tot God speaks at the perfect timing..God is definitely changing my heart and i praise Him for that!! =)

for that, i believe with all of my heart that man and woman are created to be equal, but they play different and complementary roles..we are designed for different purposes..so lets embrace our roles!! =)
