HAPPY NEW YEAR, 新年快乐 EVERYBODY!! My sis and bro went for countdown after the party at my aunt's place..im just plain lazy to go lah..so crowded..i rather be in the comfort of my own room and blog!! =)

2007 had ended..and many ppl had already set their resolutions for 2008..personally for me, i wld just set 4 resolutions that are realistically achieveable..rather than setting so many which we will forget after like 1 month?haha..cos i tot this can prevent us alot of disappointments and how we wld be so scared to set resolutions for the coming years for the fear that we might not achieve them..haha!

first question i ask myself: why wld i set resolutions?(to know why im doing what im doing, instead of just following the crowd.) basically for me, next yr i wld be 21..it is time that i start to plan for the future by achieving small goals, slowly, step by step.. with the resolutions set, i know there is something i must focus on this year!time to get serious..although there must be fun time for me!!LOL!!

my first reflection post after like 3 years of blogging!haha!

Quite a different experience with God this yr even since i work.no more crusade..which i feel, challenge me to be more independent, not relying too much on crusade, church when it comes to my relationship with God..of cos, there must be accountability..time to focus more on "being", rather than "doing"..quite hard for me, cos im a "doing" person..thank you God for Your patience and love towards me, esp at times when im prideful and stubborn..only You will never leave nor forsaken me.. =)

I think basically still the same!haha!im very happy that my dad's temper had changed for the better..and this helps in our communication with him..as im the only "single" in my family, i can spend more time with my mum and cook more meals at home..haha!im very happy with the way it is now!!

regarding this area, alot of fluctuations..what i went thru in 2007 re-emphasize how impt it is to be honest and truthful to each other, even though sometimes truth may not be well received by ppl..if we love our frens, lets speak the truth tactfully..instead of hiding it..cos "love rejoices in the truth"..sweeping things under the carpet will only create more rubbish, leading to more misunderstandings and unnecessary problems, in the end, we need even more time and energy to clear them..so definitely not worth it..if there is anything, speak our mind, clear the air, and move on.. =)

with my TEC..haha!chenyie started work in NUH and we only met up recently after like so many months! =) it was great!you know, it is like long lost fren suddenly met up!i love it! =)

as for tzehui, haha..see her every week, at least once..cos we started our singing lesson together!and girl!i enjoyed attending the lessons with you very much!!i think precisely becos i see you so often, i may start to take you for granted which i definitely want to stop/prevent it..pls pls pls let me know if there is anything in the future that you are unhappy with me abt..i wld be very glad to listen to you, and make the necessary changes! =)

sheena and cerelia..feel more of like a roller coaster ride..haha..the unhappy issues had been sorted out..so lets move on with new hope! =)

how can i miss out my wonderful, super active primary sch frens!!i think seriously, the 2 yrs spent with them, was like the happiest days of my life(i know i said this many times, but i have to say it again!haha!)..serious, im not exaggerating..the same peep whom i wld never want to lose contact with!siew moi, ailing, kar hian, jason, guo yong, xiwei, herman, dewei, sally, lai fung, jessie, swee tatt, choo keng, ren feng, glenn etc etc..they guys really gave me a very very memorable childhood!and i realised alot of us still has that "child-likeness" in us, which is gd!looking forward to meeting you all up! =)

cousins..haha!they are a very humble bunch of ppl, EXCEPT YONA LIM..always Jay Chou's wife, Jay Chou's wife..i think one of her resolutions for next yr is to look for an excellent mental hospital to stay in..LOL.

what else can i say? An understanding supervisor who is always very patient with me, bear with my scattered-brain-ness, and super super nice! My wonderful collegues who dun play politics at all, willing to help each other out when we have problems..i think my workplace is the only place with no politics..not even abit..serious..and they dote on me alot!cos im the youngest!haha! i love my kids, and im having a new class for 2008! a little apprehensive, yet kind of looking forward to teaching them!!haha!i really really enjoy working at my centre! =)

JJ had already moved to tanjong pagar..haha..i guess i will want to visit them soon when it is re-opened!i quite miss them lah!!they are also very nice ppl!!i really love my time there!!

haha!already at advance stage of singing!tot i will fail my diaphragm assessmt, which i din..thank God!haha!competitions and performances in 2007 really stretched me in terms of confidence, singing techniques, etc..although i din do very well for the competitions, din manage to get into semi-finals, but it is ok!im disappointed definitely, but thats part and parcel of learning..how to deal with my disappointmt is my key issue..haha!it challenges me to improve my vocal skills even more, going into harmony/composing class will be my next action step after finishing my singing lessons!Just started guitar only like less than 2 months??LOL..abit lazy to prac..must work harder!

LOL..see?last part of my reflections..haha..actually not many things to reflect on cos im not attach..hahahaha!!but i learn from ppl around me loh!

1)set goals for your r/s(eg:where we want our r/s to be in how many yrs time.)

2)always communicate your expections to each other and reach a compromise.(except the expectation of expecting the person to know your silent expectations.)

3)always choose to settle things after your anger is dealt with. (eg: when one of us is angry, instead of letting your anger out, request for a 20mins cool down time, depending how long you need. talk things out when your mind is clear and after you have cooled down.)

4)NEVER dig out the other person's past and used it against him/her.(a.k.a 翻旧帐)

1)Focus more on "being" in my relationship with God.

Action step: Step up on my bible reading.

2)Upgrade myself by taking up children services course or going into NIE.

Action step: Pray to seek God's guidance, and weigh out the pros and cons.

3)Learn baking cakes and cookies.(quite a weird resolution!haha!)

Action step: Find recipes and bake using my centre's oven at least once a month.

4)Graduated from my singing class and prepare for harmony/composing class.

Action step: Train my diaphragm everyday and prac sight singing at least once a week.
