HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!

hmm.. today reach church at 8.40am!! oh man.. after waking adeline up.. alarm clock went hay wire.. so rush there.. phew.. thank God that the service start at 9am.. being there at 8am is just to prepare first.. sorry sparklers!!!

lol.. then went for 11am service.. external speaker Bobby Michael came to our church.. he sang and the sermon is abt Jonah.. there are salvations and rededications!! praise God!! although i dunno how many, but hey! even if 1 soul is saved.. the whole Heaven rejoices! there will be a party up there!!! woo hoo!! praise God!

then went for speedlight.. sermon today is very applicable.. sermon title, ' Cry of Brokenness '..

pride and stubborness.. both factors usually are the obstacles that hinder us from having a close relationship with God and from having more of His annointing andpower.. brokenness means not being filled or complete.. there is a diff betw brokenness and crushed.. crush means staying broken and not moving on.. being broken before the Lord is not a negative thing.. to be a disciple of Christ, you need to be broken FIRST.. being broken requires humility, courage and also a heart that is willing to be vulnerable before God.. many times we ask for the empowermt of the Holy Spirit.. we want power, but we refuse to be broken.. Only broken hearts know God and walk with God.. Christ will never take us into his arms until we lay ourselves at His feet, as David did in psalm, broken with a sense of personal sinfulness..

Brokenness is painful.. our flesh opposes it.. but we must be broken.. we will never break ourselves.. we must be broken by grace.. the grace of God.. our wills must be broken to God's will..Brokenness is dying to self..it is the response of the renewed heart to Holy Spirit conviction.. Because conviction is continual, brokenness is continual..

Brokenness is the spirit of Christ.. Christ, who is God, took upon himself the form of a servant.. He willingly gave up everything for us! As a servant He had no rights of His own, no home of His own, no possessions of His own.. He did not have so much as an hour to call His own.. when He was reviled, He reviled not again, but committed Himself to God.. He went willingly, but with broken heart, to Calvary, where He was made to be sin for us.. Brokenness is to be crucified with Christ.. it is a constant yielding of ourselves to God.. we must seek it and be WILLING to be broken.. but only God can give it. If we are His, He will.. He receives none but those whom He breaks..

do not confuse ' brokenness' with ' inferiority '.. Brokenness is not complete or full.. it requires total humility and vulnerability before God.. whereas inferiority is a loss in self-esteem, and a feeling of loneliness, rejection or isolation.. it is more of self condemnation.. brokenness before the Lord leads to completeness.. whereas inferiority leads to destruction..

this sermon really speaks to me.. cos i know my pride has always been an area im struggling with.. and im trying to change.. i want to be broken before the Lord.. i want to thank God for this additional Valentine's gift of knowing wat is brokenness.. thank you Lord..

' The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. '

Psalms 51:17

' But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: ' God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'

James 4:6
